PRL INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP 2011
Applications are invited from highly motivated students to pursue doctoral research in the broad areas of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Solar Physics, Planetary Sciences, Geosciences, Space and Atmospheric Sciences, Experimental Laser & Atomic Physics and Theoretical Physics. Eligibility:
M.Sc. in one of the following subjects: Physics, Space Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry (Physical, Nuclear / Analytical), Geology, Geophysics and Ocean Sciences.
A minimum of 60% marks at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels are required for all candidates. Candidate must have Physics and Mathematics as the subjects at the Under Graduate level.
Age Limit: Not more than 25 years as on 31st December 2010 (born on or after 31.12.1985).

Stipend & Facilities: Rs.16,000/- per month, raised to Rs.18,000/- per month after two years, subject to satisfactory academic review; a book grant of ` 7500/- per year; and accommodation and medical facility at a nominal charge. Students may also be supported for attending conferences abroad, once during their tenure.
In addition, all expenses connected with registration for Ph.D., tuition fees, etc. will be borne by PRL.
